Sending letters to schedule meetings with Congressional Offices is one way. However,I have found the best method is: (1) Call the Congressional Office, (2) find out who is the Legislative Director/Legislative Assistant for Veterans Affairs; (3) find out the email address of the Legislative Director/Legislative Assistant for Veterans Affairs; and(4) send an email asking for a meeting with the Representative or the Legislative Director/Legislative Assistant for Veterans Affairs. Follow up with an email on a weekly basis until a meeting is established. I have found the best time to start the process is the second week of January. The Department BPTL should be responsible for setting up all the meetings with Congressional Offices.
